Lifehacker is reporting on Skype's newest release, Skype 3.0 Beta, which adds the ability to click on a phone number on a web page and initiate a Skype call.
I love the idea, but I'd love it even more if they would concentrate on the quality of calls. I use Vonage, and apparently am one of the few who love it. While four years ago I had trouble with the service, Vonage's quality is now as good as a landline and I couldn't live without it. So I know that Skype's VOIP technology can be better than it is.

I have one client who uses Skype every time she calls me and the quality is so bad - ghosting, dropped words, etc, that I can barely carry on a conversation with her. Please keep in mind that I am not a Skype hater - I love the idea and want desperately for it to work.
A good idea, helpful, meant to make communication easier. It deserves to be tried.
