I reviewed an earlier release back in September and was less than impressed, however the DimDim team have been working like crazy and their application really shows it.
The very cool thing about using DimDim is that attendees do not need to download anything. Only the presenter downloads a small desktop application. This differs from most of the applications currently out there.
I liked the mood indicator, which allows the audience to tell the presenter to slow down or speed up, and also the Poll feature. Polls are a great way to break up a presentation and make sure your audience is understanding the material being presented.
DimDim has scheduling and reports, and is integrated with Outlook. Almost every wish-list feature I expressed is being addressed prior to DimDim going Beta. Most important is the ability to show a pointer or cursor and work with Mac computers.
Sundar tells me they are expecting to release DimDim Beta for testing in mid January, with a general public release of the Beta a few weeks later. There are a couple versions of the application: a hosted solution offered by DimDim itself, a download to run on Windows or Linux (Mac to come), and an Enterprise Server version.
