I'm going to defer writing about the program itself until I've had a chance to really use it. What I want to point out is their fabulous video introducing users to Scrybe.
What makes this stand out?
Organization
Notice how the presentation is organized according to feature. The breaks between each segment are distinct, but flow together well - you don't get lost in the presentation.
Offering Solutions
The features are presented as a way to solve a problem. Whether the problem is being able to move an appointment on the fly, schedule an appointment over multiple time zones or keep track of todo lists, the features are just thrown at you. They are described in such a way that the user can see them solving real-world problems.
Production Quality
While not glitzy or overly-produced, the quality of the video is really, really good. The demonstrations, with the cursor movement, isn't grainy and the audio is clear. Additionally, care was taken to actually prepare audio that is edited, without verbal ticks or pauses. Many, many times, presentations like this are simply recorded with audio as the presenter performs tasks. The audio is rough, full of 'ums' and 'ahs' and comes across as amateur.
The result of this excellent video? I'm intrigued in the product and can't wait to try it out. My impression of the company is excellent - if they take this much care in a presentation video, think of the care they must have with their product.
Scrybe's example can be a benchmark for all new web application companies.
