Google Docs to Have Desktop Version?
Garett Rogers at ZDNet looked into the Writely code (now called Google documents) and found indications that Google may be making a desktop version of the word-processing application.  google_docsslogo.gifInteresting if so, especially assuming a tight integration with the online application.  You'll get the best of both worlds - online access and backup and offline editing.
