Real Time Collaboration and Web 2.0 tools, tips, and reviews

Google recently bundled together Writely and its own Google Spreadsheet into a combined application with unified user interfaces.  There are a few problem areas still to be worked out, but overall I give it a solid B.

What I like:

• The combined list of spreadsheets and documents.
• Ability to upload HTML, .txt., .doc, .rtf, .odt and .sxw for text docs and .csv, .xls and .ods for spreadsheets.
• Constant improvement of features
• The ability to email a document to your online workspace
• Spreadsheet functions show the parameters needed
• And, of course, the ability to save the documents to your own, local computer.

There are some bugs, although I haven't worked with the applications enough to experience them.  I will say that for basic everyday use, Google has this nailed.
