Second Life User Files Hacked
According to the Official Linden Blog, Second Life user accounts were hacked into on September 6th.  Linden Labs discovered the break-in quickly and shut down the hacker's means of access, but some unencrypted information was comprised:
...potentially including Second Life account names, real life names and contact information, along with encrypted account passwords and encrypted payment information.

No unencrypted credit card information is stored on the database in question. Unencrypted credit card information has not been compromised.
