Office 2.0 Conference

If I hadn't already blown my budget going to the Blog Business Summit at the end of October, I'd go to the Office 2.0 conference in San Francisco, October 11-12  as well.

office20.gifOffice 2.0 is the movement away from desktop applications for the office environment to browser-based applications.  One of the topics they plan to address is a definition of Office 2.0.  For example, Ismael Ghalimi defines it as:
  • No client application other than a web browser
  • No files on personal computer
  • Compatibility with the most popular web browsers
  • No browser extension or plugin
  • Collaboration features are good
  • Syndication
  • AJAX
  • Competition
  • Data import/export is mandatory
What I'd like to know is how people make it to all of these conferences?  Sponsors?  Or do they just make so much they can afford it?
