This is where things get interesting. We can now buy things in the virtual world and get 3D models to look at when we are offline. How about designing a piece of jewelry in Second Life and having a company create it, in precious metals and stones, for real life? Or furniture? What I'd really like is the ability to style my hair, body and clothes online and have it appear in real life :-)

The real issue is whether or not there's a business at this point; truly high-quality parts are still very expensive. The capability to take 3D data out of SL (and other videogames) via videostream rippers has been around for some time. Additionally, the ability to convert the mesh data to manufacturable data is also possible (so you could do more than make an RP "print"). The issues are with the cost of RP.
