Vertabase offers all of the basics of project management - client information, location and resource management, scheduling, budgeting and forum-based issue tracking, but it seems to be focused on providing an all company management solution.
To this end, the reports are many and very useful. Creation of new report templates is very easy. One report especially useful to managers shows a list of all projects, their status and project "health".
The Vertabase training is also web-based and extremely substantial. I was very impressed. As always with project management software, set up and optimal use of the application would be enhanced if at least the admin user is familiar with project management philosophies and protocols.
The application can be hosted by Vertabase or self-hosted and pricing is based on user. Self-hosting license fees are quite reasonable for an application with these features. Vertabase boasted a varied clientele - mostly larger organizations, including the Washington State Department of Health (WDSHS).

Thanks for the nice review. Want to clarify that we do have over the phone and in-person training as well as the training videos available online. We are big believers in training and support.
