
I do think it is important to address some content to new users, but maybe that is better served by a publication aimed directly at new users. Or a quarterly "special issue" of SL Business.The mag, even at 60 pages(!), doesn’t really deliver the kind of news and business information it seems to promise. Almost every article is either a brief tutorial of only the most basic aspects of SL business life — snapshots, music streaming, fashion design — or brief profiles of various content creators. Two articles — one on copyright and IP, and one on investment opportunities — contain so little useful information that they’d have been better off left out, in my opinion. There’s also a real lack of anything resembling economic or business data, data that SL proprietors would find quite useful, I’d imagine.
This is their first issue, though. Let's cut them some slack and see where they go from here.
