CollectiveX Changes Pricing Model to A La Carte

When I reviewed CollectiveX back in July I commented on the expense:

It is expensive, however. For free they give you 10MB of storage, the calendar and discussion forum. The pay plans range from $19 to $150/mo, but the only additional features are additional storage space, "email blasts" and permission management.

It appears that users agreed. CollectiveX changed its pricing model to make core features free:

Unlimited Users
Social Networking
Shared Calendar
Discussion Forum
File Storage up to 10Mb

For $9.00 a month each, the following features can be added a la carte:

Group email blasts
Group permission controls
SSL security
3Gb of storage

Users can also remove the advertising for $9.00/mo per hundred users, and add template customization for a $99 one time fee.

I like this a la cart offering and the pricing is very reasonable. It will be interesting to see the response they get from users.
