I'm not fully familiar with project managment software, but this solution seems pretty powerful, yet easy to use. The familiar Gantt chart is fully interactive, so you can slide completion percentages and due dates with your mouse.
Projects are accessible both within SharePoint (or Groove) and via the desktop Project Organizer. Sharing and synchronization is handled through SharePoint. There is a synchronize button, which I found clumsy - but further research shows that users can specify automatic synchronization. Project files that are open will not synchronize automatically, which seems clumsy.
TeamDirection licenses start at about $130 each, with price breaks for multiple licenses.

Thanks Diane.
We will take a look at the Synchronize button. We modelled it after the MS Office 'Get Update' button when interacting with SharePoint, but that seemed clumsy too.
I'd like to throw in a couple of links that cover the Project Management aspects of TeamDirection Project.

And one which describes the SharePoint interaction in a group.

Again, thanks for you time.
