Empressr uses an Ajax and Flash based architecture which allows not only animations, streaming video and audio, but also integrates better drawing and layout features. The big minus? You can't import or export PowerPoint presentations (yet).
There are a few other features missing that I'd like to see, like Zoho's ability to set up a shared presentation, with controls handled by the presenter. I'd also like to see the ability to export to a PDF and a notes feature - visible only to the presenter.
They are nearly at the point that online presentation applications really make sense and I expect to see full-featured applications in less than a year.
Expressr is free to use up to 5 saved presentations. You can pay for space for more presentations.
