The features are extremely basic, a calendar, task list and profile management for members of your team or group. Where this application would be most useful is for managing social clubs or groups, or as a family organizer, but I wonder - why bother? Yahoo Calendar handles much the same things, with additional features and the ability to synchronize with Outlook or other desktop calendar program. If you want a free calendar-oriented collaboration tool, Yahoo Calendar makes more sense.
How it compares to:
- Sharepoint - totally different league. Any comparison is like comparing apples to donuts.
- Groove - Groove has the file sharing and forums, which are valuable tools.
- Basecamp - I personally wish Basecamp used more of a calendar format. That said, Basecamp offers the file sharing and whiteboard that teams will find vital.
- CollectiveX - I would choose CollectiveX over 30 Boxes. CollectiveX's free file sharing is barely adequate, but better than nothing, and a forum or discussion board is important.
