A very funny and scary article written by Steve Stasiukonis, VP and founder of Secure Network Technologies Inc show just how easy it was to social engineer their way into a credit union network using USB drives that were "seeded" in the parking lot and around the smoking area of the credit union.

Of the 20 drive that were seeded, 15 were found and all were plugged into a credit union computer within a short time of being found. A program on each USB drive sent vital information back to the consultants.

Keep in mind that the employees of the credit union knew that a company had been hired to test system security and also knew that they would be testing the social aspect of breaking in.

If I owned a company, I would make every employee read this article. Heck, I may make my parents and inlaws read it as well.
