"Are Social News 2.0 websites dying?" is the question asked over at Chrono Tron. The post outlines the problems with Digg: more Diggs to popular websites like CNet and less to sites with original content. I've noticed as well that Diggs are getting broader rather than deeper - more people posting Digg links that aren't terribly interesting, and less people "Digging" the links that are already there.

This Google Analytics chart still shows search interest in Digg is growing, but that may just reflect the "broadening" of the coverage I described above.
