Box.Net - 1Gb Online Storage for Free
My husband found Box.net while looking for an easy way to keep files online for a construction project he is working on.  He is moderately techie and liked Box.net for the utter simplicity of the interface and pricing. Keep in mind that my husband doesn't want to carry around a USB flash drive - it could get lost or he could forget to carry it, so he really wanted an online solution.

Users get 1Gb of online storage for free.  For only 4.99/mo they offer 5Gb.  The Pro version gives you 15Gb for $9.99/mo.

The Mobile feature is very useful - Box.net will convert "major filetypes" to plaintext for display on a mobile device and email attachments can be sent right to Box.net for storage.

File sharing options are intuitive and folder-level, which makes it ideal for sharing files with clients, family or friends.  Tagging and search functions are also included - great if you have a large number of files stored.

For inexpensive file storage and the ability to share and access online, especially for non-technical users, Box.net is a good alternative.

Hi, IBackup is a great online storage and backup solution for safe and secure backup and restores of critical data. If you use IBackup for Windows there is no need to worry about data loss, hard disk crash, theft etc.

IBackup’s IDrive can map your IBackup online storage account as a local drive on your computer. You can then drag-and-drop, open, edit and save files in your online account, as if they are on your computer. Did you find this anywhere else?

Worried about what to do with your multimedia files? IBackup has a solution for it too. It’s as simple as this. Just move your music and video files into your IBackup account and double-click on your multimedia files. It will simply open up your media player and play the multimedia file. You can even create 'Playlists' or do 'Shuffle' using your favorite media player pointing to IDrive's media files!

Share files and folders with Webmanager by creating sharable links and emailing them to your friends, partners and colleagues. IBackup also allows `private sharing of data’ instantly by a user with another IBackup user.

It’s no wonder that PC World has recently rated IBackup as the `best all-around backup service.’ IBackup has a bevy of great and snazzy features to ensure secure data backups and restores.

I've actually used iBackup before and it is pretty good. Box.net is much cheaper, though, and is free for 1Gb!
