Does MySpace Put Bragging Rights Over Site Design?
The answer appears to be yes. Check out the relevant stories at TechDirt and the New York Times. Evidently, the design is a factory of unnecessary page views, thus inflating their reputation as a top-ten Internet destination.

As a disclaimer, I should say I've never been and am not now a fan of MySpace, which is part of the appeal of this news story for me. The first priority of a technology company should be building something right, gaining a legitmate audience and monetizing it. This action on the part of MySpace just sounds like arrogant stupidity.
