My wife and I took a cross-country road trip two years ago that was an amazing experience, so when I read about Wayfaring in Robin Good's weekly new media picks, I immediately checked it out. Wayfaring allows you to map your route and attach photos, video and commentary. You can create a Map of your Life, a Travelogue, or any other creative thing that comes to mind. It uses Google Maps as a base. The application itself is simple to use, with all your options clearly laid out. Finally, not only can you share the end result, but collaborate with others in building your map media piece. If and when I finish creating a Wayfaring map project of our 2004 road trip, I'll post it here and share it with you.
