Paul Kedrosky puzzles over the reasons for the Writely-Google buzz. Why are bloggers covering it so heavily, Paul? Not because they love to hate Microsoft, as you seem to think.

We're talking about it because the A-listers are. And that gets us little guys a tiny piece of the action, too.

The other issue, as I said earlier, is that it represents confirmation of what can happen to a handful of developers who follow the new money paradigm for start-ups. As you yourself pointed out, 4 developers made about $10,000,000.

So in addition to our own self-interest, we're blogging about it because the paradigm works, and it's exciting to watch it happen.
