More on G-Mail vs Outlook
I read Scobleizer this morning and was happy to see that Robert Scoble addressed the same post by Paul Kedrosky that I did. Scoble pointed out something that I didn't know, which is that MSN has been offering the same thing that G-mail is now offering and over 20 universities have taken them up on the offer. Scoble rightly asks the question, why didn't MSN get any blogger love for this back then?

At this point, I need to make clear that while both Scoble and I work at the Redmond campus, he's a Microsoft employee and I'm not. I'm there as a vendor, or, in the colloquialism of the campus, an "orange badge". We have never met, and I have no reason to support his position on this, other than I think he's right and Kedrosky's wrong.

I do think that every blogger who's collecting a check from Google's AdSense program should examine their own ability to write sans-prejudice when it comes to issues like this, before throwing stones at Scoble.

Oh, one last thing. I just read Nicholas Carr's reply to Scoble wherein he calls him "Microsoft's kept blogger". Come on, Nick. Is that really necessary? Isn't the argument against a possible Google bias among bloggers sufficiently strong for you to not have to resort to an ad-hominem?
