I've been accumulating a list of products that sound promising, as well as ones that are more established and, as a result, have set certain performance benchmarks. I'm also keeping a separate list of products that I'm certain will whither on the digital vine. By compiling this assortment of collaborative contenders, I'll be able to identify (I hope) a set of markers that will help users make a more informed choice, and (fingers crossed) help developers see what to focus on in the future.
If you have any likes or dislikes that you'd like to send me, please do so right here in the comments section. Feedback is a wonderful thing.
Without further ado, here's my first marker for a winning RTC product:
The designers have a broad base of experience in the RTC field.
This could be in web-conferencing, eLearning, or perhaps even supply-chain management. The key thing, for me, is that they're designing from a place of experience, and not from a quick overview of what's out there that's innovative and cool, and how can we do something similar, but slightly different.
More on this later today.
