So far on my list of things I like to see in collaboration software are:
1 - Designers who have a broad base of experience in RTC
2 - Simplicity in design
3 - No Fee or Low Fee
4 - VoIP
VoIP, in my view, is a must for any serious contender in the RTC space. The reason why is simple. Studies have shown that 75% of communication between people is non-verbal. Of the remaining 25%, only 10% consists of the actual words that you say. No wonder so many flare-ups occur in e-mail and discussion boards. 90% of how we effectively communicate to one another is completely missing!
VoIP doesn't solve that problem, but it does allow us to add nuance and tone, and that may be enough to get the job done right.
Check out Macromedia's Breeze software. It's particularly suited for online training, which I believe is the future of eLearning. You can get a free trial version of Breeze here.

Breeze includes all the tools for online meetings, such as videoconferencing, application sharing and a whiteboard for brainstorming.
